Why do people mulch their gardens? Its not just for aesthetics, although our name suggests it! There are many reasons to mulch your garden, lets check out a few:

Improving the soil-

Mulch is a great insulator, it helps provide a buffer from the heat and the cooler temperatures. As organic mulches break down it provides nutrients and encourages earthworm and soil microbial activity.

Moisture-

Water is one of the most important commodities not only for humans but also for humans but also for plants. Mulch helps prevent the soil from drying out and also keeping the plants roots moist.

Weeds-

Mulch also prevents weeds from germinating. Less weeds completing with your plants for moisture and nutrients obviously the better.
